About

Tools that make
teaching easier.

TeacherStack started as a handful of tools built for one second-grade classroom. Today, 40,000+ teachers use it to run attendance, behavior, planning, and the board at the front of the room.

Our mission

Give teachers their time back

Teachers spend hours each week on attendance, behavior notes, rotations, and lesson plans. We build tools that shrink that work to minutes.

Every tool starts with a real routine from a real classroom: taking attendance while greeting students at the door, keeping center rotations moving, pulling up a behavior record before a parent conference. If a tool doesn't make one of those moments faster or calmer, we don't ship it.

Our values

The principles that guide us

Built with a teacher in the room
The first tools were built for one real classroom, and every one since has been shaped by the teachers who use them.
Fits how teachers work
Some tools run on the classroom display mid-lesson; others handle the planning and records that happen outside it. All of them have to earn their place.
Teacher feedback drives the roadmap
Most of what we build next comes from teachers writing in. If enough classrooms need it, it goes on the list.
Our story

Meet the founders

TeacherStack was founded by Amanda and Jason Darnell in 2018, while Amanda was teaching second grade.

Amanda came home each day with the same frustrations: center rotations that fell apart, records scattered across binders and sticky notes. Jason, an engineer, started building tools for her classroom — the first one kept her center rotations on track. That one classroom grew to tens of thousands, and today the teachers using TeacherStack shape what gets built next.
